California

Sure, I miss Canada, but California is pretty fantastic in it's own ways and over the last 3 years it has become my home.

  • It's always sunny. And when it's not, you love it, because it's such a rare occurrence.
  • There are no mosquitoes here
  • I can mountain bike ALL YEAR LONG
  • I can ski and then mountain bike in the same day if I want to
  • I can get to a ton of cool places within 3-8 hrs drive
  • I like Palm Trees
  • I can pick clementines, lemons, grapefruit and apricots without leaving my yard.
  • Someday I can learn to surf and pretend to be the surfer chick I wanted to be in highschool
  • No cold rainy gross windy Novembers
  • No slush
  • No -30 Celcius
  • It really is beautiful here, when you can see through the smog
Most importantly, I love the friends I've made here, and the fun I've had here, and the guy I followed here... Would I have ever taken up Mountain biking or hiked 9 different peaks in one weekend, or camped under the desert stars if I hadn't moved to California? I'd hate to imagine my life without these or any of the multitude of other experiences I've had here.
